Autumn has always been the smell of burning jack-o-lanterns in my house.

Featured Artist Shows in the future?
We are making space at the store, where - in the future - we would like to feature artists in a smaller show within our show.
Right now we need to show art in these new places in the store, so you can see what it might look like.
These are some of the artworks (of mine) that are on display at the store. (http://www.artistsmediums.com/)

Panorama..continued...
I keep wondering if I should paint this one large area (poorly framed in) behind my woodstove before the Open studio tour. It used to be an old bulliten board I think only it's been painted white.
I'll have to take a photo of the wall so you can see what I mean.
I figured the best thing I could really do it try to make it look like a window... so
I took this photo Monday, from the kitchen.
Right now the trees are so full you can't really see much of anything...
just a blur of green and a glimpse of the river.
No, I am not getting completely distracted from the upcoming Plein air festival...
:)
I'm still thinking about it.
This was first posted in July of 2011...
Obviously I didn't get around to painting it, there was so much else to do!

Now: 11-20-11
I am finally showing you the photos of the space that I am considering painting.
I've actually spent some time smmothing out the surface a bit.
(I think it used to be a bulletin board.)
I definately want to make a long panoramic landscape on this surface.
To this end I have been practicing my panoramic photography.
I don't claim to really be good at it...all I need is an image worth painting.

(too much?) painting...
I think I finished this one,
like the original photo
...not sure what happened.
Funny thing is,
I found this photo that I took of this painting before I put the leaves in and I like it MUCH better!!!

Still painting the big square canvas
(see previous post)
I'm not posting a picture yet,
since I think I am struggling with the buildings.
The buildings are begining to come out of the snow.

I used all the Small canvases...
So I am painting a winter farm landscape - on a 36" Square canvas.
(I don't know what else I could have been saving it for..)

I sure like having so much paint
When I have so many colors at my disposal, I can paint multiple pieces...
Here is one that I suppose has a bit of a cliche in it, but I like it anyway.

I called it the heart of the forest
I am scraping down to find wet paint, but I am still painting with the same pallete that I mixed during the Fall Foliage Open Studio.
